Villa Oneiro

Spent a week in the Oneiro villa in June. Stunning. The villa, the pool and the views are just amazing. A real hideaway, built to an extremely high standard, overlooking the Bay of Kissamos, your very own little slice of Heaven.

Villa Oneiro ist einfach perfekt. Ruhig gelegen am Hang etwas abseits von Kissamos in der Nähe des Hafens. Atemberaubende Aussicht zu den Bergen und der Meerbucht. Wenn wir im Infinitypool schwammen, war die Aussicht sogar noch mit Rosmarinduft versetzt, die direkt an der Frontseite gepflanzt waren. Kurze Wege mit dem Auto zu den schönsten Stränden, Gramvoussa Beach mit dem Schiff , zu Fuß oder dem Auto, wenn geländetauglich. Falasarna Big Beach: 10 Automin. Elafonisi Beach (einer der 20 schönsten Strände Europas! Wie in der Karibik, türkis schimmerndes Wasser mit Lagune), 45 Automin. Gute Auswahl an Tavernen und Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung. Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet mit qualitiv hochwertigen Haushaltsgeräten. Auch das Mobilar war neuwertig und funktionell, vor allem die Boxspringbetten. Sehr geschmackvolle Dekoration, kein NIppes!! "Housekeepinglady" Ionna war eine freundliche und sehr diskrete Frau, die das Haus wieder perfekt in Ordnung brachte. Besitzer Vassilis kam persönlich am Anreisetag vorbei und erklärte uns ausführlich Haus und Umgebung mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Er brachte einen Fruchtkorb, eine Flasche Wein und ein Glas Honig mit. Vassilis war sehr gastfreundlich und auch jederzeit erreichbar via Handy. So z.B. durften wir das Erdbeben der Stärke 6.5 am 12.Okt. 13 "miterleben".. Vassilis meldete sich sofort am Telefon, ob alles in Ordnung sei.. Wir genossen den Urlaub jede Minute und werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

This is a brand new complex that will need some time to smooth a few rough edges, but it has the makings of a really wonderful escape from the crowds elsewhere on Crete. The four of us were worried about the price and the lack of a track record but were, in the end, more than satisfied. We stayed in the lowest of the units, called "Oneiro," which was perfect. We didn't get inside the others so I can't vouch for them, but this was very comfortable and relaxing. Although in some respects the interior was a bit impractical - the architect obviously had a field day - we appreciated the minimalist, neutral design and the quality of everything from the CocoMat beds to the high-end German cookware. The landscaping still needs a lot of attention and it will take time for the complex to blend into its surroundings, but Youphoria has enormous potential. The private infinity pool was a delight, even if there's not quite enough privacy to feel comfortable skinny dipping. The helpful staff made us feel welcome. And while I wouldn't want to die for the view, it does become addictive and after two weeks we were very sorry to leave.
