Nuez Villas are two independent spacious houses tucked amidst a
piece of land in a lush beautiful garden, descending towards the sea
& overlooking the charming bay of Mochlos village.
With
a minimal yet impactful design that celebrates a creative dialogue
between indoor and outdoor living, the property blends in harmony with
the island’s surroundings. Simultaneously evoking rough & smooth
aesthetics, the structure was infused with a mix of a warm ivory
concrete & traditional stones of the island that together with the
geometric lines resulting in an effortless connection with nature.
A soothing color palette characterizes the interior, natural
furnishings, design and unique art pieces like ceramic objects keep the
space modern yet cozy. The interior of each house reflects meticulous
attention to every detail, few minimal artistic touches popping up
around and the handpicked furniture enhance an effortless luxury living.
The luminous and airy living room of each villa is an open plan space
that creates a seamless connection with the fully equipped kitchen.
Each
house comprises two master bedrooms one independent guest room that boast amazing views of the
outside, inspired by the Japanese philosophy, feature a mix of organic
fabrics, cotton and linen adorning the bed and the curtains, while
creating a private relaxed sanctuary. The sense of tranquility and
relaxation is enhanced thanks to the wooden furniture, the concrete
ceilings and the contrast between the neutral grey, the sand & ivory
tones. The natural materials and a soothing shades palette is
consistent in the bathrooms where the built in bathtub and the luxurious
rainfall showers elevate the alluring ambience of the interiors. Add an
extra layer of depth the black metal finishes, offering a sleek and
minimalistic feel. A private separate spa room with a hot tub completes
the overall holiday experience, where guests can indulge themselves,
recharge and unwind.
In a serene Mediterranean setting with spectacular views from every
angle the wooden pergolas in the outdoor areas, protect from the air and
provide shade, allowing the guests to enjoy al fresco dining at the
lounge and the dining areas. The villa`s functionality and simplicity
suits perfectly with the natural environment, while the spacious terrace
with the infinity pools in the shades of grey and blue radiate an
overwhelming sense of calmness and light.

5.00 - ”A picturesque villa”
We visited Crete and stayed at Nuez Villas for a week in August. The villa was perfect for two couples. Before booking the manager could not have been more helpful and answered all questions we had incredibly quickly. The booking and payment process was really easy. The day we arrived Angelina had stocked the fridge and cupboards with food and drink and provided us with an incredibly generous welcome package. We were even treated to see of her mothers home made cheese pies and raki - both local delicacies. When we got her we could not believe how beautiful the villa was. It blends naturally into the Cretan hillside with its stone facade and natural colours. The views into the harbour and beach over the infinity pool are stunning. There is a beautiful garden around the villa with shrubs and local flowers. The decor is super stylish and practical. The kitchen appliances are brand new and worked perfectly along with the (much needed) air conditioning. The villa is a good place to watch both sunrise and sunset, and in between there are spaces to relax in the sun or the shade. The pool is gorgeous and there a couple of beds on the water to catch the sunshine in style. The beds are comfy and the linens and towels were changed twice whilst we were here. You can chose more frequent if you like. Angelina also arranged for breakfast to be catered for us the first morning and for both a yoga instructor and masseur to visit the villa. We would highly recommend both of them. The villa is a few minutes walk into the local town where there is a nice choice of restaurants, a mini market and a couple of bars. From here you can complete a short swim to a local island to see some historic ruins if you like. I can not recommend this villa enough - it is simply stunning.
